On the afternoon of March 21, officials of the Foreign Ministry Information Department accompanied a 10 persons Joint Press Delegation of African countries to visit Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Park, to find out more about the company Artepharm and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine joint cooperation to develop a new generation of artemisinin-based combined therapy and the situation of the research and development of Artequick.

Science and Technology Park Dr. Ye Qiaobo briefed the guests on Artequick manufacturing situation. It is a national first-line drug for the treatment of falciparum malaria in China. It is on sale in more than 10 countries in Asia and Africa. The drug is easy to take, efficient, has very few side effects. In the Union of Comoros for instance, the mass drug administration has been a success and very appreciated by the population.
The delegation of the joint press came from seven (07) countries: South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Congo (Brazzaville), Senegal, Zambia and another country. All of them expressed a strong interest in Artequick. The Zambian reporter recognized Artepharm relentless efforts to fight malaria in Africa, and alleged he would like to work together to curb malaria as soon as possible and help the people of Africa get rid of this disease.
