On November 26-26, 2007, "Guangdong Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Development Summit and Sci-tech Trade Exhibition" was successfully held at Guangzhou University of TCM in Guangzhou University City. The summit was jointly organized by General office of guangdong provincial comittee of CPPCC and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in association with Guangdong New South Group Limited, South Li Jin Hutchison Ltd., Zhongshan Sino-Chilean Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Guangdong Nantai Pharmaceutical Company Limited and supported by  Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau.

The Summit included two parts:Summit Forum and Sci-tech Trade Exhibition. At 9:00 on the 25th, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Exhibition was held at the square in front of the University Library.

At 10:00 on the 25th, the provincial leaders and representatives shifting to the plenary International College,  in the Office of the International Conference,  chaired by the Vice-President Chen Weiwen, the Summit  Opening Ceremony was held, President Chen Shaoji made a speech. The afternoon meeting was presided over Vice President Wang Xinhua, Dr. Song Jianping, general manager of Artepharm, made a thematic report  of  research on artemisinin antimalarial drug.
  

 From 25th to 26th, Artepharm exhibited its serial antimalaria products--Artequick, the fourth generation ACTs by Prof. Li Guoqiao, Chief Scientist of Artepharm. The artemisinin projects and products cooperated between Artepharm and Guangzhou University of TCM received extensive attention by all sides.
